    Voxbone is seeking for a highly motivated, organized and experienced Head of Infrastructure & IT Operations to work in our Brussels or Dublin office and report to the Chief Operating Office.

     

    You will manage a team of 11 IT/Infrastructure engineers, all experts in their own field from System to Networking, IT, Voice switching and Security. Together with your team you will be in charge of making sure our infrastructure, spanning over 20+ POPs, is operating with the highest level of uptime and quality.

     

    You will report directly to the COO and be in charge of Voxbone’s IT, data center and network budget.

     

    You'll also work as part of a young and vibrant team spread across San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles, London, Brussels, Iasi, Seoul, Hong Kong and Dublin.

    Responsibilities

    What would you be working on….

     

    • Maintain and improve Voxbone’s core network
      • Define the planning of network upgrades and the associated change management process
      • Put in place the software architecture defined by our development team and draft/implement Voxbone’s IP network architecture
      • Strive to always improve our uptime by putting in place better monitoring and by spotting and killing any Single Point of Failure
      • Ensure security is always at the top of the agenda, raise awareness on security risks and take the appropriate actions to mitigate them

     

    • Manage a diverse technical team
      • Hire, train and coach a team of technical experts
      • Put in place the relevant team KPIs and organization to make sure Voxbone network enjoys the best uptime

     

    • Manage Voxbone infrastructure budget
      • Strive to operate at the lowest cost while maintaining Voxbone’s quality standards
      • Identify key suppliers (data centers, ISP, software and hardware vendors), negotiate price and agreement
      • Make sure the right cost control approvals and processes are in place

     

    • Provide Voxbone with the best IT tools
      • Maintain and improve the IT infrastructure used by Voxbone staff
      • Manage a small team (2) of IT support engineers assisting Voxbone staff with IT issues
      • Define and implement IT policies and processes

    Qualifications

    To bring the win, you'll have...

    • 10+ years of experience in the technology sector (Telecom, Networking, Cloud Provider...)
    • Proven track record of managing a team of technical experts
    • Passionated by technology and interested in its recent developments in one of the following sectors
      • Software as a Service
      • Network and software virtualization
      • Automation and monitoring
    • The ability to communicate effectively technical challenges and solutions
